When I grow up, I wanna be like her!

Australian longboarder Belinda Baggs’ graceful surfing style makes her one of the most instantly recognisable female gliders. Deeply insightful and highly in tune with nature and her surroundings, her love of the ocean has not only seen her surfing waves all over the world but also try to give a little back, offering help by bringing supplies to communities struggling in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami and acting as an ambassador for environmental awareness [Drift Surfing].

Ireland Fish Fry

Ireland Fish Fry?.....
What'sthat?
Some crazy idea again coming from Guinness Kingdom!

Well, Ireland Fish Fry is a gathering of shapers, boards builders and surfers to celebrate the fun of the fish surfboard in its many forms. The event is held by the Fish Brotherhood on the 14th March 2010.It is a non competitive and non commercial gathering of board riders and builders of these sweet craft. That's FISH boards in their many forms . ( Not just any old board ) It's about shapers who craft these boards and those of us (surfers) who enjoy the ride. Each year are seen many new ideas on the original theme and that's what is great about the evolution of the fish.

I share that link so that you can check out what's going on that side of the world!

Lots of fun and retro stuff...Worth having a look at the blog!

October Sessions

I went back home for Christmas. While there I dropped by Hossegor where my mates stay. For those who do not know, Hossegor is THE most famous French surf spot! It's is located south west of France in what we call the Landes country. It's a pretty dead town when winter time comes..... That's what I realised once there. I have been there several times during summer... and it is a different world! Crowded beach...forget about parking... no space nowhere....just craziness!!!!! You have to see to believe it!

So I was there in december... and I have to say... There is not a lot to do when it's -3 deg outside and when there is no descent swell! So what do you do? Well, you stay inside, killing time chating with your mates by the fireplace, sipping hot chocolate... Conversion always comes back to surfing, or surfboards, or swell or surf trip! That's how i found out about that super glassy/cranking surf session that they had the privileged to have for themself at La Graviere on that day of October 2009... Lucky them!

So here is a glance:
